I was speaking with another agent today who said that she spoke with a national bank loan officer this morning. That loan officer told her that if she had any clients who were debating on a home to purchase, that they should enter into a contract this weekend so they can lock their rate come Monday morning.
The rates are low but volatile. To lock into the current rates, a borrower must be in contract, hence the LO’s alert.
With the showings that a lot of us have been receiving on our listings, I wonder if a lot of contracts will be written Saturday and Sunday.
Don’t have a loan officer yet??? Here’s a couple to call that are great to work with:
-
Tony Butler, Equitable Mortgage Corp, 614-764-5071
-
June Zepp, Real Living Mortgage, 614-825-8806

I’ve been hearing mid-5’s and a little below for those with good credit, but they’ve been bouncing up to 5.75 to 6.
